with internal business partners such as GCIB Marketing and Commercial
Marketing to support online knowledge management initiatives. Consulted
with internal business partners to understand business requirements
and advised innovative technical solutions to solve business problems
and to create an intuitive, effective and consistent user experience.
Projects:
- Developed and maintained the official home page for GCIB,
the Net@Work. The site grew from a small informational
site updated weekly, to an essential communication tool
that publishes two to four news articles daily and is a
portal to information and resources important to the GCIB
business associate. First conceived in 1994 as a news
publication, the Net@Work grew and was embraced by executive
management as the official communication channel for GCIB
with a target audience of an estimated 20,000 associates.
- Continually improved and enhanced intranet sites to improve
usability and to solve business problems. Developed
cross-site database application which showcases and shares
significant deal information to assist sales associates
in replicating deal success. Implemented integrated
search application using Cold Fusion and Verity search engine
to improve accessibility of web pages and news articles
in database. Developed dynamic HTML (DHTML) menus
to improve access to site resources.
- Led eight-member, multi-departmental integration team
to combine Corporate Banking intranet sites from two merging
banks, NationsBank and Bank of America. Solidified
relationship between the web development team and marketing
group to assure content support for Net@Work. Resulting
site became the official communication channel for the new
corporate bank, and became the benchmark for design, layout,
functionality and usability.
- Consulted brand team on adjusting new brand guidelines
adopted for the print media for the online media, including
altering color palette to use web-safe colors and modifying
print layouts for browser presentation. Converted
three major intranet sites, and all sub-sites to comply
with new Bank of America brand guidelines.
|
- In response to multiple requests by business units for
developing departmental web sites, developed a requirements
form and site template to efficiently produce sub-sites
of the Net@Work. Twelve sites were developed maintaining
a consistent look and feel, and requiring half the development
time.
- Envisioned, created and led development and implementation
efforts of a content management application, NewsFactory,
to more efficiently update news articles to multiple intranet
sites. The implementation resulted in a 70% reduction
of maintenance costs, exceeding projections.
